This parenting situation is not a new thing for Barry and Iris. In season 5, they met their daughter Nora West-Allen/XS (Jessica Parker Kennedy). She was also a speedster and she helped her parents deal with threats in Central City. Nora had gotten close with her parents in their time before the events of the fifth season finale. Now they will be parents once again with Bart.
