2021 has just begun and Phase 4 of the MCU is on its way. It all starts on Jan. 15 when Marvel’s WandaVision appears on Disney+ and a recent clip shows more detail on the series.
This upcoming Disney+ series centers around Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) happily together again after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Now they’re on a whole other journey through television. However, while they enter their new lives through old classic television, things aren’t what they seem.
During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Olsen shared a clip from the series and it shows Maximoff and Vision happily married and living in a black and white sitcom. It included live studio audience laugh tracks, old-school sound effects and a Dick Van Dyke/Bewitched vibe.
These two superheroes went from saving the universe from Thanos to living as a married couple in an old suburban sitcom. It will be an interesting transition for these two, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t be entertaining. One of the many qualities from the MCU is that there were plenty of comedic moments from the characters. Plus, with this type of sitcom scenario in the series, it’s bound to be humorous.
WandaVision will be an interesting and fun way to kick of Phase 4 of the MCU. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on Jan. 15.
