Newcomer Iman Vellani has been cast as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the new upcoming series on Disney+.
Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American teen from New Jersey. She’s an Inhuman, meaning that she got her powers from Terrigen Mist . Khan gained polymorphic powers and she fights for good. This superhero also made an appearance recently through the popular video game Marvel’s Avengers.
In this game, Kahn was a fan of the Avengers and it told her story of becoming an Inhuman. Also, she had to help bring the Avengers back together in order to stop the upcoming threat to their world. Her story was played well in the game and now I’m wondering how her journey will play out in this series.
According to Deadline, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige announced that Vellani will do more than star in her own series. She will also be included in future Marvel movies. This could lead to the teenage Inhuman meeting her favorite heroes.
Details about the series have yet to be revealed, but it gives people a chance to see Ms. Marvel’s journey through another artist. Landing the role of the polymorphic superhero is Vellani’s first major gig. In time we will find out if Iran Vellani can portray the famous Inhuman.
