Samuel L. Jackson is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Nick Fury in his own TV series on Disney+.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, Nick Fury made his debut appearance in the mid-credit scene of Iron Man. After that he fought alongside the Avengers from Marvel’s The Avengers to Spider-Man: Far From Home. When we last left Fury, he had Talos (The Skrull from Captain Marvel) impersonate him while he takes a break on a Skrull spaceship.
According to Variety, the plot for the series is currently unknown. However, Jackson is attached to work with screenwriter Kyle Bradstreet. Jackson, Bradstreet and Disney did not comment on the details of the show.
Jackson has been in the MCU since the beginning and he was also in two episodes of the ABC Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When he was not portraying Fury, Jackson also starred in numerous other projects. Some of which include Jumper, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Astro Boy, The Legend of Tarzan and Glass.
We have a list of Marvel TV series coming to Disney+ in the future. First there is Wandavision coming out this year. There’s also The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…? Now we can add Nick Fury to that list.
Although little is known about the plot and the release date, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is another show to look forward to in the future.
