Demi Lovato has given her fans new music since the beginning of 2020. Today she releases her new single “I Love Me” and the results did not disappoint.
Since Lovato was out of rehab due to her drug relapse, she became sober once again and went back to making music. She announced that new music was in the works and a new album will be released later in the year.
“I Love Me” is basically about self-love and self-acceptance. The “Heart Attack” singer sings about learning to love one’s self, according to Rolling Stone. She demonstrated that message in her new music video.
“Oh, why do I compare myself to everyone/And I always got my finger on the self-destruct/I wonder when ‘I love me’ is enough?,” she sings. When I heard those lyrics I was intrigued.
In the video, Lovato has an MMA brawl with herself and parades down the street and examines all insecurities that hold people down. When I saw her confidence and choreography, it left me captivated.
Since the new year began, Lovato had made a comeback at the 2020 Super Bowl and singing “Anyone” at the Grammy awards. 2020 has become the year for the pop singer.
“I Love Me” by Demi Lovato is available for download and it’s a single worth listening to.
