Everyday people come home from a day of school or work and they want to take a load off. One of the things we do to unwind is scrolling through Netflix.
People often find classics, blockbuster hits and Netflix original films. With a wide variety to choose from, I currently have five movies that I can always enjoy.
5. Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018):
This Disney movie shows us the evolving friendship between Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman). They travel through the internet to fix Vanellope’s game and wind up on an unexpected adventure.
The movie has humor, heart and an example on the meaning of friendship. In addition, the cameos of iconic video game and non-video game characters made the film more engaging.
4. The Dark Knight (2008):
The second installment of the Dark Knight trilogy deals with Batman (Christian Bale) taking on the Joker (Heath Ledger). While trying to save Gotham City, Batman also deals with his love life with Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal).
One of the reasons why this movie made the top five was Christian Bale’s performance as the caped-crusader. Also, the battle between Batman and the Joker did not disappoint.
3. The Theory of Everything (2014):
The biographical film tells us the story of theoretical physicist Stephan Hawking (Eddie Redmayne). It takes place at Cambridge University and from there we see the future famous scientist going on his romantic journey with Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones).
It was fascinating to watch Hawking go through his disease and still pursue his studies. Watching Redmayne portray the physicist’s struggles and accomplishments left me captivated.
2. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018):
Here we have Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) becoming Spider-Man and now he has to protect New York City from a potential threat. Later on, he meets other Spider-Men from different dimensions and they all team up to save the city.
This movie gives us a more original Spider-Man story. Also, the animation was a creative choice because it looked like a live-in comic book. However, there is one movie that comes out on top.
1. Avengers: Infinity War (2018):
Our heroes are bracing themselves for the epic battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin). Thanos searches for the infinity stones and almost every hero from the Marvel universe joined forces to stop the catastrophe from happening.
This movie made it to the top because it was leading up to one of the most epic battles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It had drama, comedy and staggering fight scenes. In addition, it gets people prepared for Avengers: Endgame.
So these are my top five movie choices on Netflix. What is your top five?
