Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ is on the way!

Yesterday on Instagram, pop superstar Taylor Swift announced to the world that she was releasing her new studio album this summer called Lover.

A new album is coming out since Reputation in 2017. With this new studio album the “Shake it Off” singer states that it’s mainly about love.

“This album in tone is very romantic and not just simply thematically, like it’s all love songs or something,” Swift said on her Instagram livestream. “I think that the idea of something being romantic it doesn’t have to be a happy song. I think you can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through a conflict or dealing with things in your life.”

Her new single “You Need To Calm Down” has been released and it caused many fans to speak out. During Pride month with this new track, Swift recognizes her LGBTQ fans and it acts as an anti-hate anthem towards anti-Pride protesters, according to People.com.

The pop superstar also made references to the LGBTQ media organization in her lyric video of “You Need To Calm Down.”

The official music video for this new song will be released on Monday June 17 and it will appear on Good Morning America, according to Swift on her Instagram livestream.

Two months before this single, Swift gave her fans another song called “ME!” (feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco). This chart-topper gave the “Swifties” (her fans) a peak into her new music and the results did not disappoint. The seventh new studio album will consist of 18 tracks including her two new singles.

For those who are looking for new music this summer, Lover is coming out on Aug. 23.
