Sophie Turner moves on from Game of Thrones!

Game of Thrones has come to end and many of the stars have shared their emotional goodbyes. One goodbye in particular came from English actress Sophie Turner.

(WARNING: The following content contains spoilers for those who haven’t seen the show and/or the series finale.)

We followed Sansa Stark (Turner) all throughout the HBO series. Sansa has been married twice and held captive. Later on it all changed when she became the Lady of Winterfell and changed into a whole new person.

When we last left the Lady of the North, she arrived at Kings Landing after the death of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). When Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was chosen to become King, Sansa became Queen of the North and Winterfell changed into an independent kingdom.

Once the series came to a close, no spin-off show came for the Queen of the North. Turner has stated that she was done portraying Sansa Stark.

“I think my watch has ended,” Turner said to CNN. “It’s been 10 years of my life and the best 10 years of my life by far.”

Although many of us (including me) will miss Game of Thrones and Sansa Stark. Turner is now focusing on other roles for herself. For instance, she has returned to the X-Men franchise as Jean Grey/Phoenix.

Turner has played the powerful superhero in the previous movie X-Men: Apocalypse. Now we will see more of Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix coming out next week on June 7.

The ending of this show has put the actors in a very emotional state, however Turner was satisfied with Sansa’s ending.

Even though she may not be in Westeros anymore, we can still enjoy Sophie Turner’s talent in more roles to come.
