Capcom’s creation, Resident Evil has been around for years and many of us (including me) enjoy a good battle against zombies. Netflix is in the works of making the action-horror video game into a scripted series.
This upcoming show on Netflix will expand its universe and increase the mythology while exploring the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the T-virus outbreak, according to TVLine.
For those who are fans of Resident Evil, it has been around us since people were still playing Playstation 1. The very first game was released in 1996 and the success of that first video game was just the beginning. In addition, Capcom has released a remake of Resident Evil 2 from 1998. This game is now available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
Fans also recall the Resident Evil movie series starring Milla Jovovich. Each one has delivered an action-packed, terrifying performance. The work of those films had resulted in around $1.2 billion worldwide.
The setting and the story are still in the works and there is no cast yet. However, I predict that the upcoming series will bring promise to the TV screen.
If you’ve been fans of the video games and the movie franchise, the Resident Evil Netflix series could be another way to enjoy the zombie fights.
