Game of Thrones update

The highly anticipated HBO show, Game of Thrones returns for its eighth and final season in April and we the fans are itching to see how this will all end.

(Warning: This article contains spoilers for those who are not caught up or haven’t seen the series.)

The season seven finale concluded with the White Walkers and the Army of the Dead entering Westeros. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) have persuaded Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to join the cause and protect the Seven Kingdoms. In addition, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) uncovers the truth about Jon and the true heir to the Iron Throne.

After that finally, numerous people (including me) have left with many questions. Who will survive in the upcoming battle? Will Cersei succeed in her secret plan? When will Jon learn the truth about himself? Who will end up in the Iron Throne?

People have different ideas and predictions about the final season. Some think a certain main character should die and someone should take the Iron Throne. However, the stars of the series gave out a hint that will give the fans a certain reaction.

Kit Harington has mixed feelings about the final season. He told the people at Entertainment Tonight that he’s, “not happy, but very satisfied.” This only builds up the anticipation of the eighth season more.

The eighth season will consist of six episodes and each one will feel like a movie. It’s felt that way for the past two seasons, but still.

In addition to the conclusion of the widely popular series, there will be a prequel of the show that is currently in the works. This prequel will take place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones and it doesn’t stop there. There will be no Iron Throne, no dragons and we will learn the history of the White Walkers.

The final season of Game of Thrones will premier on April 14 on HBO. Winter is here!
