Avengers: Infinity War has us asking many questions after the last five minutes. Our half of our heroes gone for good? Will Thanos win? What’s their next move?
All of the questions and we still don’t have all of the answers. However, the trailer for the sequel has arrived and the movie now has a title called Avengers: Endgame.
In this trailer we see our beloved heroes in the aftermath of the previous film. Thanos (Josh Brolin) has wiped out around 50 percent of not only our protagonists, but also of all living creatures of the universe.
In the beginning Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) records this message into his helmet for Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). “Hey Ms. Potts if you find this recording don’t feel bad about this. Part of the journey is the end. Just for the record, being adrift in space is more fun than it sounds. Food and water went out four days ago. Oxygen will run out tomorrow morning. That’ll be it. When I drift off, I will dream about you. It’s always you.”
After feeling down with that heartfelt message, even Captain America (Chris Evans) shedded a tear. “We lost,” said Captain America “All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. This is the fight of our lives.”
Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) haven’t been available in Avengers: Infinity War, but they come to Cap’s aid to the final showdown. Along with them are Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
With all of the loss from the previous events, the Avengers all have one thing on their minds: defeating Thanos. Before you lose hope after the first minute of trailer, remember that it gets more engaging.
Avengers: Endgame will now premiere on April 26, 2019. That’s right a week before the intended date in May.
